Before you reach out
Most questions are answered in the documentation. Common ones:
- Who can add the gadget? — any user, on any dashboard they can edit; only the initial app install needs a site admin. Share the dashboard via standard Jira dashboard sharing — viewers need no extra setup.
- "No estimates on these issues" — your board estimates with points/time but the sprint has none yet. Add estimates, or switch Measure workload by to issue count in the gadget's Edit (pencil) menu.
- "No active or recent sprint found" — the board has no active sprint. Start one, or pin a sprint in Edit mode.
- "You do not have permission to view this board" — the app enforces Jira project permissions per viewer; ask your admin for Browse access to the project.
- A person is missing from the heatmap — only assignees of issues in the selected sprint appear. Unassigned work is shown in its own grey row.
- Numbers look like hours, not points — your board estimates with Original estimate; the gadget converts seconds to hours automatically and labels the unit.
- Pro fields are greyed out — per-person capacity, remaining-load mode, custom thresholds and CSV export require a paid plan (free for sites with up to 10 users).
What to include in a bug report
- Board type (company-managed or team-managed) and how the board estimates (points / time / none)
- The selected sprint and what the header shows (people / totals)
- What you expected vs. what you saw (a screenshot helps a lot)
